Hollys' First Bath :)

Holly has been preening herself a lot lately and has made her feathers a bit raggedy so I decided to try and persuade her to have a bath. So I *ahem* borrowed a shallow glass dish from my mum and filled it with luke warm water. I then brought Holly into the room with the other budgies and let them all out. It was a case of "monkey see, monkey do" JayJay dived in there and the rest followed...including Holly!

Long overdue!

This is a post that is very overdue, I can't believe how long it has been since I last updated this blog, I only had four budgies then, Ozzie, Lola, Milly, and Milo, and I had just got a fifth budgie, baby Alfie! Well Alf is no longer a baby, he is 1 year and just over two months old! Plus things have changed dramatically, I am now the proud mum of 12 budgies, yes thats right 12 budgies! Plus I have my own aviary :) So here are the twelve gorgeous, crazy, budgies that own me, yep they own me not the other way around lol.

In the house there are:

Yes thats right, he has a name now. It took me a little while but I think Alfie really suits him :)

I'd like you to meet...

Isn't he so cute!! I'm wanted a grey male budgie for a long time. My first ever budgie, Coco was the same colour and it was so very, very sad when he passed away :( I'm thinking that this little guy will settle in great though. He's still a bit scared, it's very traumatic being taken away from all your friends and family and put in a cage on your own in a strange home but he's been making sweet little tweeting noises today and he's eating and drinking fine. He even had a little bit of carrot that I put in his egg food.

The only problem we have is that I have no clue what to call him lol, so for now he is just Baby Budgie. I've thought of a few names so far but I'm still not sure. I've thought maybe Casper, Freddie, Angus (Gus for short lol) or Pip (as in pip squeak because he makes really squeaky chirps.)

Ah who knows I might not end up choosing any of them lol.

Hopefully my next post will be introducing him properly with an actual name lol.

Budgie Love...

Lola doesn;t always like Milo though lol. He just won't leave her alone!

Oh and I made them a new toy. My first attempt at toy-making and I don't think it turned out too bad :)
